My professional background is distinct. I was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court in 1996 and called to the Bar in 2017. Alongside my mediation practice, I continue to represent clients as a Barrister.

I started in legal practice in 1989. In the 28 years before coming to the Bar, I specialised in civil and commercial litigation, including a rewarding five years running my own specialist litigation practice.

I had my first real exposure to mediation in 1999 and successfully completed the CEDR Mediator training course in 2001. Since accreditation, mediation has formed an increasing proportion of my professional practice.

When I look back, I have been involved in some fantastic work involving fascinating subject matter and hugely interesting people—some of whom have been in need of real help. I strive to have a positive impact on every situation I mediate.

I live in the East of England but frequently mediate around the country and internationally.
